StyleCon Summit is Coming to SMU

The StyleCon Summit is coming to SMU. StyleCon conventions have been bringing together fashion, beauty and wellness brands and influencers together since 2014.

“StyleCon implements a platform for brand activations, influencer collaborations and social media partnerships,” says Irene Martino, co-founder of StyleCon. “We saw the need for influencers to be connected to their fan base and the brands to be connected in a physical way. We bring Digital to life…With the influencer as the new celebrity for the millennial market, there was a need for the fashion and beauty brands to connect with not only their audience but also with influencers.”

The StyleCon Summit is happening this Tuesday, November 6 on campus at the Owen Fine Arts Center at 6 p.m. “It is a one hour panel only event with amazing trailblazers, CEO’s, buyers and influencers. The biggest thing about StyleCon is the education and inspiration that women already in the business can give to the young upcoming crop of millennials that want to get into the fashion/beauty industry,” says Martino. The focus on the panel will be on the business of fashion.

The panel will be moderated by Tiffany Hendra, the founder of fashion blog Sanctuary of Style, and will feature Martino; Shelby Foster, SMU alum and the public relations manager of NorthPark Center; Sophi McGuire, the social media personality behind @muchlovesophie; and Cindy Pierce, the buyer at Stanley Korshak.

“StyleCon is a fun way to all get together with like-minded individuals. We feel as though communication, photo opportunities and networking, StyleCon can really be the platform for all things style,” says Martino.

The tickets are free, but make sure you register on Eventbrite.
