Do you want to party with Cardi? Well, now you can. Kind of…Cardi B just announced a fashion collaboration with the budget-friendly clothing company Fashion Nova.
Cardi B is the queen of mixing high and low fashion pieces to achieve her signature look. She is a long-time wearer of the brand and even gave Fashion Nova a shout out in her song, “She Bad.” Cardi B raps,“I could buy designer, but this Fashion Nova fits,” so it makes sense that she would pair with the affordable clothing company.
The line consists of over 80 pieces, featuring everything from workwear to going out clothes. The influence of her collection comes from the fashion of the 80s and early 90s. You’ll be sure to find neon, faux fur, and sexy-latex styles. However, Cardi B is most excited for the jackets.
Cardi B told E!, “I want people to be like ‘Is that Chanel? Is that Gucci? Oh, it’s Fashion Nova—oh okay.’”
One of Cardi B’s goals for the collection was to create clothes that are sized for a wide range of women. To achieve that, Cardi B made sure all of the pieces are properly tailored to fit curvy and slender body types. Most pieces will cost under $40, with the exception of a few luxury items. The wide range of sizes and low prices will allow more women to purchase on-trend fashion pieces.
The long anticipated collection is set to launch November 15 on FashionNova.com.
