Trend Report: Hats Top Off FW 19

The hustle and bustle of New York Fashion Week is coming to a close, but not without leaving a lasting impression of new and exciting trends for Fall 2019. Stylish show goers littered the streets dressed in lively ensembles featuring glitter-y hair clips, stand out sunglasses, and pops of neon as they took in the new collections. However, there was one exciting commonality amongst designers that stole the show: Hats.

What better way to top off your outfit while combating the relentless city chill? Not only did unique bucket hats trickle over into street style from trends of Spring 19’ but designers found new and innovative ways to incorporate headwear on the runway. Tom Ford kicked off the week with luxurious fur bucket hats in various color ways, Kate Spade had models in headscarves with playful prints, and Hellessy added a touch of sophistication with wide brimmed floppy fedoras. Even though shoppers are wishing for warmer weather, these playful accessories can add height to any ensemble this coming fall.
