What to Wear: JMBLYA Festival

Round up your festival crew and grab your fanny because it’s time for JMBLYA. This two day traveling music festival is hitting Dallas on Friday May 3rd then moving to Austin on Saturday. Performers include Travis Scott, Lil Wayne, Kevin Gates and Sheck Wes.

Now on to the important part…what to wear.

Sheer clothing is having a MAJOR festival moment. Pair a sheer top or set with a cute bralette or swimsuit for the perfect combo. Bonus points if it’s neon.

It’s no surprise that denim is a festival go-to. Whether it’s a skirt, jumpsuit, overalls, shorts, or your OG skinnies nothing quite goes together like light wash denim and a festival.

Tell your grandma to work those fingers into overdrive because crochet is BACK. Matching sets, crochet pants, or knit tanks give me all of it. Pair with a pair of sunnies and you’ll be giving off an effortless boho vibe all day long. Minimal effort required.

For all my lazy girls (i.e. me) grab a graphic tee, frilly skirt, and some high top sneaks. It’s practically a universal festival uniform at this point. Don’t worry, jerseys also qualify and can be substituted.

Looking for a piece you can wear again and again? Pick up a midi skirt (Zara, Free People, or Nasty Gal all have reasonable options) and pair with a tank that’s already in your closet. If you want to go above and beyond, add a barrette, butterfly clips, or headscarf and you’re guaranteed to get photographed for a street style moment.
