The Grammy’s Red Carpet Winners

The 62nd annual Grammy Awards took place this Sunday at the staples center in Los Angeles. Billie Eilish swept the competition taking home 5 Grammys out of her 6 nominations, and became the youngest artist to win album of the year.

If viewers didn’t know Lizzo, they do now! The relatively new artist won best new pop solo performance and rightly displayed her quirky flute skills on the stage during one of her two live performances of the night.

But the awards and performances weren’t the only showstoppers of the evening! Celebs trotted the red carpet serving looks before the show, here are a few of the true winners!

Lizzo dressed like the queen she is!

Lizzo (Atelier Versace) and Ari (Giambattista Valli) both decided to pay homage to the red carpet queens of the past, and it payed off! Lizzo is giving new wave Marilyn Monroe vibes and Ariana’s elbow length gloves and larger than life dress prove that sometimes to make a statement, bigger is better!

We love an unexpected element!

I love how these looks are so classic, yet switch things up by featuring an element of surprise! John Legend’s asymmetrical jacket (Alexander McQueen) is so fresh and unexpected, and Bebe’s diamond chainmail turtle neck added the perfect amount of interest and sparkle to her custom Christian Cowan ensemble.

Showstoppers

Tyler the Creator at 62nd grammy awards red carpet
This is everything

And now for the talk of the town, Billy Porter and Tyler the Creator stole the show in their creative and entirely unique looks. Both of them are just so fun, refreshing, and impossible to keep your eyes off! I love how Billy (in custom Baja East) incorporated the trendy western feel while keeping it super chic and still surprising. Tyler (in Golf Le Fleur) knocked it out of the park in his bell hop outfit by bringing a sense of performance art to the red carpet, something we’ve really never seen before.
