Halloween is Not Cancelled

Obviously Halloween this year looks nothing like any of us expected it to. With a football game, a pandemic, and an overwhelming exhaustion thanks to no fall break, we could easily tack Halloween onto the checklist of things this year has robbed us of, but fear not! There are still tons of options for how to have a safe & spicy Halloween even if it isn’t what you previously imagined this season to look like!

Pumpkin pictures galore!

Everything’s bigger in Texas, but especially our pumpkin supply! If you are more of a ~fall vibes~ person than a spooky season stan, hop on over to the Dallas Farmer’s Market or the Dallas Arboretum for all of the fall photos of your dreams. With Halloween falling on a Saturday this year, both of these are perfect options for outdoor settings that still feel like a semi-normal outing.

Wanna stay home? Whip out a charcuterie board!

If quarantine taught us anything, it was how to make a gorgeous charcuterie board. That being said, if you’re anything like me, you’re probably a little burnt out by the same old cheese & crackers situation. Halloween is the perfect time to switch that up & make a candy or spooky-themed pancake board! Get creative! Invite some friends over! Light a pumpkin scented candle! Turn on Hocus Pocus! This is definitely one of the easiest ways to have a fun, safe Halloween.

Haunted houses, but make them socially distant!

I can’t imagine this, but in case you have been missing haunted houses, look no further! Dallas is hosting Drive Boo, a drive thru haunted house in Victory Park right by the American Airlines Center! & if drive thru sounds fun, but spooky things aren’t your jam, the Aurora Drive-Thru Art Exhibit is also a super fun, late night option for some Halloween night fun!

Regardless of your comfort levels regarding the pandemic, there is something for you to do to make this Halloween memorable! Take that, 2020! Spooky season can never be cancelled!
