DALLAS, Texas – An Orange County fashion and beauty event is making its way to Dallas’ Fashion Industry Gallery Sept. 23.
StyleCon celebrates women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship by bringing together a network of brands, influencers and style makers.
Newport Beach-based entrepreneurs Robyn Grant and Irene Martino founded StyleCon in 2014 as a cornerstone of all things fashion and beauty.
“Everyone looks at their phone, and they see the influencers and get style tips…we thought what if we could get them all together in a physical location and really make your mobile life come to life,” Martino explains.
When asked about the motivation behind the event, Martino commented, “I love the business. It’s not work for me, it’s my passion. I love connecting people and bringing them together.”
After three years in the original location, Orange County, Calif., the event was ready to grow. Martino says that Dallas was the obvious choice, “We got a lot of interest from the Dallas market because the women are so into fashion.”
“Orange County is like Dallas, but with a beach… The women are very much the same, they are polished and put together, they love beauty and fashion,” says Martino.
This daylong festival will be teaming with content creators including bloggers, vloggers, and Instagram and YouTube personalities.
You can catch the following notable personalities on the StyleStage, speaking on their experiences in creating successful enterprises.
– StyleIcon celebrity keynote speaker, Catherine Giudici Lowe is best known for winning ABC’s “The Bachelor.” She will speak on her successful marriage as well as her entrepreneurial efforts behind her stationery brand, LoweCo.
– Tiffany Hendra of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Dallas” will speak to this year’s theme, “The Beauty of Empowerment,” by providing tools to lead a confident and genuine life. Along with her reality show, Hendra works as an empowerment coach and a creator of the web series, Sanctuary of Style.
– Sharing the stage with Hendra is beauty and lifestyle blogger Jeanine Amapola. This recent graduate of the University of Texas is famous for her YouTube videos targeting millennial makeup lovers.
“Ladyboss” Hendra likes to inspire a sense of empowerment in women. When asked what she wants the audience to gain from the event, Hendra says, “I hope attendees are not only inspired and entertained, but leave with a few a-ha moments and nuggets of wisdom to help them on their specific path and purpose.”
Amapola will be speaking about a range of topics such as social media and color in the media. She hopes to inspire the younger audience and believes it is important to reach girls in high school and help them focus on a positive body image.
Even if you are not up to date with the who’s-who of influencers but are looking to be immersed into Dallas’ fashion community, this event promises to be experiential for all attendees.
The StyleCon press release explains, “Influencers will attend, participate on panels, showcase products in the StyleShops, and interact with followers throughout the day.”
The “pop up” StyleShop will allow visitors to thumb through upcoming trends for winter, learn about the newest products through complimentary hair, nail, and makeup services while snacking on sample treats from the StyleSnack bar.
With the purchase of a ticket ranging from $39 – $149, visitors are welcomed to an exclusive StyleTote full of fun beauty and lifestyle products. The event lasts from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Fashion Industry Gallery on 1807 Ross Ave., Dallas, TX 75201.
