The Top 5 Amazon Beauty Steals

By: Corbett De Giacomo

I’m a self-admitting Sephora addict. Every time I walk in a store to buy “just a mascara,” I walk out with at least five products I didn’t need and the impending threat of credit card debt. When I found myself dropping close to $60 on something called a “lip oil,” I knew it was time for a change. I’ve selected Amazon’s best steals in the beauty department and I must say, they’re pretty great and definitely won’t break the bank. I dare you to make it through this without buying something.

1. PURA D’OR Organic Moroccan Argan Oil, $17.12.

This multi-purpose oil lasts forever and is better at multi-tasking than most college students I know. I use it alone as a makeup remover, moisturizer, hair oil, or mix a drop into my foundation for a natural, radiant look.

2. Ardell Demi Whispies, $11 for 4 sets of lashes.

If you’ve haven’t tried false lashes, what are you even doing? They will change your life and make you look amazing. These lashes are the brand’s best sellers (and my personal favorites) for a reason. With a slightly flared shape and varied individual lash lengths, the “Demi Whispies” are naturally gorgeous on any eye shape or with any makeup look.

3. Aesthetica Cosmetics Cream Contour Kit, $29.99.

Want to sculpt your face to Kim K perfection? Look no further than this super blend-able palette. It works for all skin tones and is guaranteed to make you feel like a true makeup guru/reality star/famous-for-being-famous person. One use of this kit and you’ll be on your way to purchasing a LuMee and starting your own YouTube beauty channel.

4. Coastal Scents Makeup Brush Set , $ 3 2.jpg

This is quite possibly the best brush set I’ve ever used. While Sephora would charge you hundreds of dollars (and quite possibly your right arm) for a set like this, Amazon is practically giving it away in comparison.

5. Aesthetica Cosmetics Makeup Sponge, $7.

Aesthetica Cosmetics clearly just gets it. This sponge is the perfect Beauty Blender dupe, but at a fraction of the cost. This egg-shaped sponge is the best and most sanitary way to apply foundation, as the result is streak-free and the sponge can simply be thrown away after a few uses.
