New York Fashion Week always brings new trends and new collections that stand out from the rest. Creative designers emerge with fresh additions to color, elaborate designs and original embroidered features. Designers put their best foot forward in order to show their innovative projects and new collections for the season. Who were the top standout designers this year, you might ask?

Just to name a few:

1. Caroline Herrera, who announced that she would be stepping down as creative director, created a beautiful runway. Her show included a colorful version of her signature look, including models wearing white button-down shirts and colorful, bright long skirts. The rest of the collection included rich colors and vivacious patterns. Her collection was sleek and classy.

2. Oscar de la Renta – A breathtaking show. The collection included gowns with floral prints, long decorative coats, ornamented heels and bejeweled purses. The gowns that were worn on the runway portrayed Oscar’s strong suit in evening wear. The show described in one word: stunning.

3. Ralph Lauren: A collection that was based on his home in Montego Bay, Jamaica inspired designers around the world. The bright compilation of blue and white colors throughout the pieces really showed the tropical side of the country. Some of the models walked shoeless, wore rain boots, or strutted down the runway with feather-fringed sandals. The designs showed the beauty of nature.
