If you are a skincare fanatic like me then you most likely have experimented with Korean skincare products. Not only are Korean products cheaper, but they are also more effective. Korean beauty focuses on maintaining a healthy skin barrier by putting moisture back into the skin. On the other hand, western beauty focuses on exfoliating and using spot treatments to fix blemishes as they occur. Ever since I made the switch to Korean products I have seen a huge difference in my skin. Here are some of the Korean skincare products I swear by to help you achieve healthy and radiant skin.
Ma:nyo Factory Pure Cleansing Oil
Ma:nyo, Pure Cleansing Oil, $29
Double cleansing is vital to achieving healthy skin and Ma:nyo oil cleanser breaks down your sunscreen and makeup beautifully. In fact, Ma:nyo won the 2021 Byrdie award for best cleansing oil which skyrocketed sales. I have been using this oil cleanser for years now and even when I try to switch up my routine, I still end up going back to this cleansing oil.
Etude House SoonJung pH. 5.5 Relief Toner
Soko Glam, Soon Jung pH 5.5 Relief Toner, $20
If you are like me and have sensitive skin, this is a fantastic toner to try out. Soon Jung Relief Toner is a gentle formula that works to calm and hydrate the skin which makes it great for hyperpigmentation. I have been using this Relief Toner for years now and can confidently say it has helped my skin in so many ways. Whenever my skin feels irritated I put this toner on and instantly see the redness fade.
Beauty of Joseon Glow Serum
Beauty of Joseon, Glow Serum, $17
If you are looking to achieve the glass skin glow everyone is raving about, then the Beauty of Joseon Glow Serum is for you. I have been using this serum for the past couple of months and it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and healthy. One unique thing about the serum is it contains 60 percent propolis which is inspired by the Joseon Dynasty when women used face masks of honey and grain powder on their skin.
KraveBeauty Great Barrier Relief Serum
Krave Beauty, Great Barrier Relief, $28
This serum is my holy grail. I have been using Great Barrier Relief for years now and it does a great job at clearing up breakouts fast. The serum aims to restore hydration to damaged skin barriers caused by environmental pollutants. ln other words, if you live in big cities like Dallas this serum is aimed at you. Great Barrier Relief is great for those wanting minimal routines since the product doubles as a moisturizer.
Benton Fermentation Eye Cream
Benton, Fermentation Eye Cream, $30
Let’s be honest, a lot of eye creams on the market don’t do much for under eyes. However, Benton Fermentation Eye Cream is the exception! This eye cream is great at keeping your eye area hydrated and smooth. The cream works to plump and brighten your under eyes with anti-aging ingredients beta-glucans and adenosine. Although I recommend Benton Fermentation Eye Cream to all ages, remember it is always better to start young with eye creams.
Etude House SoonJung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream
Soko Glam, SoonJung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream, $20
This moisturizer is another one of my favorites. The best part of the SoonJung Barrier Intensive Cream is its low pH combined and no fragrance helps maximize the strengthening of the skin barrier. I go through these tubes so fast because the addicting ingredients, such as sunflower seed oil and shea butter, make my skin feel soft and nourished.
