If I could sit down with just one of my favorite fashion influencers, I would ask for Claire Chanelle, better known as her Instagram handle @iamchouquette. Claire’s personal closet is as expansive as her knowledge of high fashion. London knows her as the official stylist for E! UK while the rest of the world knows her through social media. In addition to her blog, she has a YouTube channel where she discusses everything from beauty, fashion, home décor, and her drool-worthy travel destinations. This blogger is body positive and quickly calls out any haters.
Claire’s style is impeccable and generally very expensive. In an Instagram post from November, she wears a Burberry cable-knit wool and cashmere-blend cardigan for $697.50. She pairs the cardigan with leather pants and the coolest Louis Vuitton boots. I can promise these boots are on every model and high-fashion blogger’s wish list.
For the college fashionista, this look can be easily replicated for a lower price tag, albeit slightly less chic than Claire’s look. Ditch the thousand dollar price tag and head to Steve Madden’s website to find similar boots, “Laurie” for just $99.95. While the Burberry cardigan is definitely a great investment piece, it is currently sold out. Thankfully, my favorite affordable fashion brand-ASOS- sells an ivory Free People Nightingale Oversized Cardigan for $105.00. They also sell a similar cardigan for $229.00, OneOn’s Hand Knitted Cable Cardigan.
Claire posts YouTube videos weekly. One of my favorite recent videos is “What I got for Christmas 2017” where she reveals her luxurious gifts, including a rose gold Cartier Clou Ring, Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra Necklace, and Olivia Von Halle Silk Pajamas. Claire Chanelle is a fashion influencer with incredible style, an enviable wardrobe and a refreshing quick witted intelligence.
