After this past week of online classes, I realized that it was going to be harder than ever to stay motivated while I sit through my zoom classes. Here are some of my tips for staying productive over the next couple of weeks!
1. Establish a daily routine
In our houses, it’s essential to establish a routine. Having a routine can give you something to look forward to. For instance, set a time every day that you wake up and eat breakfast or set a time that you work out every day.
2. Make your bed and stay out of it.
Since we are now attending class from either our desks or our beds, sleep is more accessible than ever before. If you make your bed every morning, then you will be less tempted to get into it until the end of the day when it’s time to unwind.
3. Dress for success.
I am a big fan of the idea, “look good, feel good.” Each school day, I have been trying to put together comfy outfits that still make me feel a little put together. Whether that means wearing a matching set or even adding some cool jewelry to my outfit- any little touch makes the difference!
We actually have a couple of different articles about this!
4. Treat your class schedule the same way you would at school.
Since our work environment and our school environment are all the same, we must separate our time. Allocate different times in your day that is purely for school and a time that is solely devoted to spending time with your family and face-timing friends from school and home.
5. Do at-home workouts.
At school, I only worked out as a social event. However, since coming home, I have realized the importance of working out to keep my sanity. Staying active is a simple way to avoid feeling restless! Blogilates, Tone It Up, and Yoga With Adrienne, are some of my favorites off of Youtube.
