FALLing for Porch Pumpkins

For years, Heather Torres, founder of Porch Pumpkins, and her family lived across the street from the Dallas Arboretum. After years of admiring the beautiful displays, she decided to make a business out of pumpkin decor.

With over 12,000 followers, Torres and her husband travel throughout the DFW Metroplex to add a bit of flair to other family’s porches. This year, they have expanded all the way to Houston.

So, how does it work?

The company’s services start at $250 for a porch drop-off and set-up of around 30 pumpkins. Prices can get up to $1,000 for the largest design package which includes a combination of grand prize pumpkins, white pumpkins, specialty pumpkins, etc. If you have a certain pumpkin in mind, Porch Pumpkins is bound to cover it in their vast spreads.

How they’ve grown their business (no pun intended):

Torres took to Instagram, where she reached quite a few influential Dallas bloggers. They then booked her services, inspiring those who follow them to also order some pumpkins. Funny enough, my mom is a customer of Porch Pumpkins and she found this company from one of her favorite Dallas bloggers. This shows how beneficial Instagram is to a small business.

While Porch Pumpkins is sold out for the 2021 season, you can get on their waitlist for next year today!
