The Fresh Face of Cowboy Boots: Partlow Boots

By Margo Washburne

This past Friday, SMU student and LOOK staff member, Electra Ford hosted an event celebrating the launch of Partlow boots, the two-month-old cowboy boot brand co-founded by Kasey Lemkin.

The event took place at Neiman Marcus NorthPark and offered attendees the opportunity to try on six styles of boots that come in black, brown, and white. As guests checked out the boots, they sipped on mocktails, snacked on mini grilled cheeses and an array of desserts, and enjoyed the upbeat DJ.

While the brand did not launch until recently, Lemkin has been developing Partlow for around two years to ensure they produce the highest quality boots possible. Opposed to a classic western boot, Partlow sources their leather from Italy. Lemkin likened one of the black pairs to the feeling and style of Saint Laurent boots. The sleek boots are the perfect option for a night out or even just trotting around town, ensuring a stylish look for any occasion.

“I was really excited when Kasey reached out about doing the event because I feel like Partlow boots really fit with SMU style,” said Electra Ford. “The boots are the perfect mix between western and high fashion.”

Despite being a relatively young brand, Partlow has garnered an impressive resume with features in well-known magazines such as Harper’s BAZAAR and Town & Country. Lemkin was also excited to share that an editor of Vogue had recently been seen rocking a pair of her boots.

In recent years, Western trends have taken over the fashion scene, and these boots offer a perfectly refreshed take on the popular style. Partlow is a fabulous addition to the future of western style and will surely make their mark on the fashion world.
