Tyler Talks Fashion: A Morgan Stewart Exclusive

By Tyler Martin

It wasn’t easy, but once I secured that first pair of Renggli cargos, I was hooked and simply couldn’t take them off. Just when I thought I couldn’t love Morgan Stewart more, it felt as though I had found my fashion soulmate in her pieces.

If you missed my previous article from September, I shared my thoughts on Renggli Studio and its first drop. Sure, everything sold out before I could snag a piece, but I knew I had to stick around for round two. The monochromatic pieces showcasing Stewart’s dedication to detail and high quality were right up my alley. Renggli is all about that effortless luxe vibe for everyday wear, offering pieces that are easy and comfortable.

I was lucky enough to ask Morgan Stewart herself a few questions about the brand’s newest Spring collection, which marks Renggli’s third drop to date. Here’s the scoop straight from the source:

TM: What was your inspiration behind the latest drop?

MS: “Honestly, I was so inspired by the colors. I am obsessed with pink and felt like that was the perfect color to bring out for Spring. The Cargo Skirt is also one of my favorite pieces we have done to date and I wanted to see that silhouette in the Bubblegum colorway. It is the PERFECT pink.

TM: How do you envision the future of Renggli?

MS: “Renggli is going to continue to grow and be your favorite brand! We are focusing on offering foundational, luxurious wardrobe items mixed with a few additional exciting novelty pieces. I am extremely involved in all aspects of the design and the business, so you can be sure that each piece will be the best of the best – from the cut to the fabric to the trims. I design what I wish I could buy — insanely high quality, essential, beautiful items that for some reason just don’t exist anywhere, infused with our own attitude. The styles will continue to be timeless, impeccably made, and wearable forever.

TM: What item that you’ve designed for Renggli is your “can’t live without”?

MS: “I can’t live without any of our silk cashmere knits – we currently offer this in a crewneck, cardigan and shell and I swear they are just the perfect material. Lightweight and just all around effortless.

TM: What piece is a must for college students?

MS: “For a college student, I think our Work Pants, Compact High Neck Tanks, and any of our knitwear are a must. They are easy to throw on for class or elevate with a heel.

TM: What are the top five wardrobe essentials you’d recommend for college students going into the workforce?

MS:

  • Black blazer
  • Black crewneck sweater
  • Light beige crewneck sweater
  • Black tailored trousers – either baggy or skinny
  • Dark pair of denim

A huge thank you to Morgan Stewart for sharing her advice and knowledge and for supporting student voices like mine. I’m such a fan of the brand, and a large part of that is due to Morgan’s dedication and eye for detail. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Renggli. If you’re ready to elevate your Spring wardrobe with that signature Morgan Stewart flair, be sure to check out Renggli’s latest drop.
