Christmas time is finally here! It’s now socially acceptable to be blasting Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” and drinking hot chocolate more than once a day. But finals are coming up and we don’t get to celebrate the holiday season at school like we do at home. So, to lift your spirits in this stressful time of year, here are a couple of fun holiday activities to do in Dallas before winter break!
Ice skating at the Galleria

Not too far from campus, the Galleria of Dallas has a huge indoor ice rink, complete with a massive Christmas tree and holiday tunes. Grab a cup of hot chocolate and skate around the rink with friends to get in the holiday spirit!
Dallas Arboretum
Along with their yearly 12 days of Christmas gazebo display, the Dallas Arboretum now has a new Christmas Village! The arboretum is gorgeous any time of year, but their holiday displays are really something else. You could definitely spend a few hours here walking around the beautiful landscape, and it’s a great place for cute Christmas pics!
Deck the Hall Street at Fiction Coffee

I for one am definitely going to make a stop at this cute coffee shop that transforms into a winter wonderland every holiday season. They even have special holiday drinks and serve them in cute festive mugs! Visit for a finals study break or if you’re in the mood for a holiday pick-me-up!
