Velvet was such a hit last year that it’s making another appearance this fall/winter. It’s not hard to find a pair of affordable velvet booties, platforms, or even OTK’s. While Prada, Miu Miu, Jimmy Choo, and Phillip Lim make these beautiful shoes with high price tags, other designers sell this trend for a much lower cost. You can purchase velvet shoes at Zappos and Forever 21, but my personal fave affordable brand is Steve Madden. The website currently sells just about every color of velvet booties and sandals available for pre-order.
Taylor Swift, Kourtney Kardashian, and Gigi Hadid were frontrunners in sporting this major trend. If you’re looking for the OTK velvet boots, I found a great pair on Zara. Search “Velvet Over The Knee High Heel Boots,” available in Aubergine for $99.90. If you want to splurge, I recommend Stuart Weitzman’s “Highchamp Stretch Velvet Over-the-Knee Boot” available for $798 at Neiman Marcus. They have a variety of colors, including Baltic, Nero, Smoke, and Bordeaux. Get yourself a new pair of shoes, you deserve it!
