Get ready for a whole lot of athleisure.

Deciding on an outfit for the day is stressful enough, but when it’s 7:55 AM and you’re running late for your 8 AM, you don’t need that added tension. From jeans to sweats, tank tops to hoodies, everyone has their own personal preference for their campus attire. For a guide to quick and easy outfits that’ll take you all the way from 8 AM to 6 PM, look no further.
Dress to impress
These are the kind of people I wish to become. They have their stuff together, they use a planner to keep track of their life and they get up in the morning after only one alarm goes off. The day-to-day outfit for this student might be colorful pants with a baby tee, mom jeans with a cardigan, a casual dress with cute sneakers, or jean shorts and a tank on those extra hot Dallas days. These students definitely live by the “look good, feel good” mindset and maybe, just maybe, they’ll wear a zip-up hoodie with jeans on Fridays as a treat.
“I’m going to the gym after this class”
This type of class clothing can definitely be linked to the “Clean Girl Aesthetic” on TikTok. I’m not going to lie, this is definitely my day-to-day style. These kinds of students–myself included–can be found hiking up the Hilltop in two-piece workout sets, leggings and a sports bra, a tennis skirt and tank, or a sweat set on cool fall days. Whether the gym is on their agenda for the day or not, any outfit that can seamlessly take you from Dallas Hall to Dedman is perfection in my book.
I just rolled out of bed.
Okay, maybe I lied before: this is definitely my day-to-day style. The effortless, breezy, “I woke up like this” style is every college student’s go-to look. Whether it’s last night’s PJs, sweatpants and a sweatshirt, or an old T-shirt you stole from your dad’s closet (guilty), these everyday outfits are tried and true. While they may not be the most visually appealing clothing items, gosh are they comfy. Say what you want, but I’ve never been mad to be in my 9 AM if I’m wearing an excessively oversized hoodie.
Whether you’re wearing fuzzy slippers or glass slippers, your style should be unique to you, even if you’re just going to class. And no, it’s not a crime to repeat an outfit! As long as it’s clean, that is. I hope you found some style inspiration for your next early morning class, and don’t forget to set your alarm for your 8 AM tomorrow! You’re welcome.
