Dallas is heating up — and as an unusually pale person who relies on spray tans in the winter, I couldn’t be more excited to start my natural tanning process. The issue no one tells you about self-tanning? It’s boring, hot and exhausting. When I could be doing a million other things, I like my routine to be as efficient as possible.
Coco & Eve is a Bali-inspired beauty company offering a range of skin care and tanning products. Known for its clean, cruelty-free formulas, the brand promises visible results. So when I was sent a few of its tanning products to review — just in time for tanning season — I was excited to put them to the test.
Tan Boosting Anti-Aging Body Oil SPF 45
The first product I tried was a classic tanning oil designed to boost your natural tan while helping combat signs of aging from sun exposure. As someone with fair skin, it’s important for me to find a product that not only enhances a tan but also protects my skin.
I applied this before a tanning session and noticed I tanned more easily than usual. Retailing for $36, the oil has a tropical scent (fully described on the brand’s website) and absorbs smoothly without leaving a heavy, greasy residue. It’s an easy way to feel protected while still maximizing time in the sun.
Coconut Milk Body SPF 50
Next up was a classic sunscreen. As someone who prioritizes sun protection, I appreciated the high SPF. The formula is lightweight and leaves a subtle glow on the skin.
While I’m typically more drawn to sunscreen than tanning products, this one stood out. Like the oil, it features a detailed scent profile online — one I may even prefer. It’s also the most practical for everyday use, whether I’m heading outside for a few minutes or spending a full day in the sun.
Highlighter Body SPF 50
The final product was easily my favorite. This shimmer SPF spray offers both protection and a luminous finish, making it a go-to for sunny days. Despite its name, it isn’t overly glittery — instead, it delivers a natural glow with just a hint of shimmer when it catches the light.
I wore it to a formal event where I knew I’d be taking photos outdoors. It was the perfect combination: necessary sun protection with a noticeable, camera-friendly glow. It’s a fun, elevated way to wear sunscreen.

Coco & Eve presents itself with a variety of products on its website, all for an affordable price. And like these three, they each offer different ranges of scents, functions, and results for your utmost beauty and wellness needs.
After my week of testing these products out, I will continue to buy them, as they seemed to fit all of my tanning needs, especially with summer just around the corner. And I am looking forward to trying even more of their products.
