To give you that on-a-date feeling, grab dinner or brunch kick-off Galentine’s Day. Whether you make it or decide to go out and enjoy yourself, a meal is one of the best ways to have a great Galentine’s Day. Creating your own date with your special someone is great and all but being with the ones you love is just as amazing. Whether going to that restaurant you’ve been dying to try or even just learning how to cook that dish of pasta you’ve waited forever to do, go for it. 

Activities

Skating, bowling, painting, the options are limitless. You don’t always have to go to a fancy dinner to celebrate with someone, just getting out and enjoying yourself is what matters most and has the best perks. Discovering that new paint class you’ve heard about or even trying out that new coffee shop around the corner, any activity can be fun if make it.  

Karaoke

Falling in line with the ideas above, karaoke is one way to get anybody in the mood for fun. Being able to be around those who make you laugh, while listening to how good (or bad) people can sing, will definitely bring anyone a smile. Especially those who just wish for the day to be over as soon as possible.

Now, who says sleepovers are just for little kids? Have a movie night, order takeout, and do a self-care routine for the night. It doesn’t matter as long as you can wholeheartedly say that you had fun. At this age, we are all consumed with so many distractions and obligations that we sometimes forget we do need to invest in ourselves. A sleepover is just the thing that one needs when trying to reestablish self-care back into their life by being around the ones that matter most.

Me Day

This may seem a little weird and lonesome, but having a day to be able to do whatever one pleases is something that everyone needs. Regardless if you find it appealing or not, don’t knock it till you try it. Everyone deserves love on this day, and what is more important than self-love? 

You shouldn’t let a holiday define your plans and doubt your ideas of fun. One shouldn’t let the fact that not having a special someone doesn’t mean that you can’t have special people around you to share the day. Valentine’s Day is what you make of it, regardless of what previous years have showcased.
