Tyler Talks Fashion: Jewelry Guide: Spring/Summer 2024

By Tyler Martin

There’s something so magical about sparkling jewelry accents, and this week, I will be sharing some of the most coveted jewelry finds of the season that are sure to elevate your style.

What I adore most about jewelry is its universal appeal. While some clothing may work best for certain body types or styles, jewelry is for all, effortlessly enhancing the beauty of anyone who wears it. Our jewelry serves as a form of expression, allowing us to unleash our creativity. Yes, investing in timeless, high-quality pieces is important; they are the anchors of our jewelry collection and the heirlooms we can pass down through generations. But fashion jewelry gives us the chance to spice things up. After all, Coco Chanel once famously said, “jewelry is an ornament.” Chanel truly understood the power of fashion jewelry and the extra oomph it provides to any ensemble. With so many occasions just around the corner – hello, spring break – it’s the perfect time to elevate our accessory game. Let’s discuss the hottest fashion jewelry trends that have been dominating the scene this spring/summer season and where to shop for pieces you’re bound to love.

Geometric shapes

Lately, geometric, square-shaped pieces, particularly rings, have been taking over my social media feed. This style is essential for those who adore the layered look, as seen on celebrities like Hailey Bieber. Through my exploration of this style, I discovered Mega Jewelry by Dani Michelle, a stylist known for working with celebrities like Hailey and Kendall. The brand offers a remarkable selection of necklaces, rings, earrings, and bracelets, all tailored to help create the perfect stack. Nearly every style comes in both yellow gold-finished sterling silver and solid gold, all made to order, giving you the flexibility to experiment with your jewelry or invest in a higher-quality option if you find a piece you love.

Heaven Mayhem, Lined gold, $110

Bold Cuffs

Cuffs were a prominent accessory on the runway this season, catching my attention during the Alaia runway show. Cuffs make a bold statement yet still remain versatile enough for a variety of occasions. In my opinion, cuffs will be the must-have accessory for events this summer. Whether you opt for one or layer two cuffs on the same arm, they are bound to add a chic touch to your look. While Tiffany’s bone cuff serves as the ultimate inspiration, below are some dupes at a more entry-level price point:

Anthropologie, Wide Grooved Cuff Bracelet, $48

BaubleBar, Leigh Cuff in Gold, $48

Dramatic shapes

The brand Heaven Mayhem, created by influencer Pia Mance, has absolutely dominated the jewelry space. Previously, dramatic earring shapes felt somewhat costume-like, but with stylish endorsements from it-Girls like Justine Skye and Rosie Huntington Whitley, sporting bold earrings has become cooler than ever. Experiment with this trend by pairing these unique shapes with your go-to tee and jeans during the day, then seamlessly transition to a monochrome dress and heels for the evening.

Heaven Mayhem, Floral, $140

Bows and delicate accents

Chanel’s Spring 2024 couture show reaffirmed that bows and ballet-inspired elements aren’t going anywhere. If ballet flats or leg warmers aren’t your style, consider incorporating playful bows into your jewelry collection for a touch of femininity. Dangly earrings and draped necklaces are also in style, so try incorporating light pink accessories to your ensemble to add a ballet-like charm. Local Dallas stores like Lele Sadoughi offer a variety of playful pieces to achieve this vibe.

Ettika, Delicate Drop Earring in Light Rose, $50

Seasonal pop of color

Vogue shared the “new color codes for the minimalist” in their latest spring/summer trend roundup where they highlighted colors like firetruck red, light pink, soft aqua blue, and chocolate brown that saturated the runway this season. For those who prefer neutral wardrobes, injecting a pop of color into your jewelry can really breathe new life into your look. While earrings are such an easy way to do this, colorful rings have been my top-pick this season. Simuero offers handmade silver and gold-plated rings with crystal stones, ranging in a variety of different colors, so there’s something for everybody.

Simuero, Fruto Menta in Silver Green, $199

Heaven Mayhem, Prize red, $90

There you have it, the ultimate guide to spring/summer 2024 jewelry. Whether you’re stacking, cuffing, or making a statement, just remember, jewelry is the ultimate accessory to unlock your most fashionable self.
