Tickled Pink for LoveShackFancy’s Newest Home Collection

By Leighton Cottrell

On Thursday, April 25th, LoveShackFancy threw open its doors in Highland Park Village for an event that was nothing short of fabulous! Picture this: tables overtaking the sidewalk, decked to the nines with the latest line of tablecloths, napkins, and pillows– a scene straight out of a catalog.

But what truly made this soirée sparkle was the appearance of Rebecca Hessel Cohen herself! Joined by her team—including the president, marketing director, associate director, and others—they flew into Dallas from New York City to celebrate the launch of their newest home collection, which drops on April 26th. Don’t worry—it is all still in stock on their website.

The store buzzed with excitement as guests sipped on cocktails, poured into the signature pink glasses, and nibbled on dainty tea-party-esque sandwiches. People filed in and out of the dressing rooms, arms full of hangers of clothes, while the lively beats on the speakers had everyone grinning from ear to ear.

Now, let’s talk about this home collection. Inspired by Cohen’s love affair with tablescapes, she has always had a knack for decorating, often assisting her mom at their childhood home for dinner parties. In fact, she was so enamored by her home’s decor that she even chose to get married in her own backyard! This line is a delightful mix of vintage charm and LoveShackFancy feminine flair. Think of dinner parties, bath accessories, and bedding and you have just about covered it.

And those prints? They’re sourced from vintage textiles discovered on Cohen’s many work trips to Europe. From there, Cohen and her team sprinkled on their signature feminine touch, resulting in a collection that screams LoveShackFancy.

Of course, I couldn’t resist bringing along the latest issue of SMU Look Media’s magazine. Cohen and the Head of Marketing, Annie Taube, were tickled pink by its radiance (pun intended!). As veterans of the magazine industry themselves, they couldn’t help but admire the professionalism and pizzazz of our publication – who wouldn’t want a Look issue on their coffee table?

As the event wrapped up, guests floated out with their arms laden with the iconic pink floral shopping bags, while the LoveShackFancy team departed with a stack of bold blue Look magazines for their journey back to the Big Apple. Until next time, Dallas – keep the champagne chilled and the pink outfits ready!
