Where to Eat During Fashion Week

Now that September has arrived, fashion lovers are turning their attention toward NYC for one thing: Fashion Week. From September 6-14, shows will take place all over lower Manhattan. As the craziness ensues, attendees will be running in between shows looking for a quick bite, raising perhaps the most important question of the entire week: where should I eat? Fashion Week veterans like Ella Céron, the deputy editor at Teen Vogue, told Grub Street, “My biggest thing with food is if I’m busy, it’s either gotta be fast, or it’s gotta be delicious,” says Céron. “Bonus points if it’s both.” Below are a few suggestions from Céron for the best delicious bites on the go.

Sarabeth’s | 339 Greenwich St., nr. Jay St.; 212-966-0421

According to Céron, this place has a quiet atmosphere in the mornings, making it the best place to kick start to your day or have a morning meeting. Having a quiet space to sip on your latte and eat your breakfast can really be beneficial during the insanity that is NYFW.

Barry’s Bootcamp Fuel Bar | 1 York St., at Sixth Ave.; 646- 569-5310

When you need something quick and nutritious, look no further than Barry’s Fuel Bar. Because this place is technically a workout studio, most people will choose smoothie bars elsewhere, meaning you can get in and out quickly (Bonus! You can try to fit a workout into your busy day). As Céron mentions, working out is a key part of her Fashion Week ritual.

This rustic yet homey restaurant is the perfect reset button for in between shows. Get a delicious bowl of pasta or Céron’s favorite, the quinoa salad, and embrace the chill vibes the restaurant has to offer. It’s further away than the other spots, so you can be sure to get a delicious lunch in. And, for what it’s worth, they have a couch.
