Last night, Estée Lauder hosted SMU Double Wear 101 at Park Lane Ulta. The store was opened for just SMU students to find the perfect foundation match, get beautified by the in-house makeup artists, and learn the best tips and tricks when it comes to applying Estée Lauder’s most trusted products. After having a full-face of Estée that lasted through the rest of the night I am here to tell you about my favorite products.
At number 1, is the DayWear Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant 24H-Moisture Crème. I’m constantly on the hunt for the perfect moisturizer. It’s essential. Applying a good moisturizer before you start your makeup ensures you look hydrated and glowing. This one definitely did the trick.
On the same note of the skin care, the Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II was applied to my skin before my makeup as well. At first I thought it was a little strange. But, after being informed by my makeup artist that yes, indeed you can and should use this serum not only at night but before you apply makeup because it instantly hydrates and illuminates. It’s also oil-free so it won’t cause any makeup shifts while you’re out.

As far as makeup goes, I was impressed but my favorite product was the Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick. I actually already owned this amazing lipstick in the shade “Defiant Coral” and was happy to try on a new shade on for size. The makeup artist used “Desirable” on me last night. And, again, it was confirmed why this lipstick is one of the best. It’s creamy, sculpting, and stays on (even after eating!!!).
The Double Wear Stay In Place Makeup foundation pleasantly surprised me. I’m actually in the market for a new foundation and I think I just might give this one a try. Coming in 54 shades, this light-weight but full coverage matte foundation gives a natural finish. It’s transfer resistant and is supposed to last up to 24 hours. I was matched with the shade “sand” and I thought it went on and stayed on beautifully.

And lastly, I highly recommend the Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Balm. This product serves as a makeup removed and a skin cleanser (best for when you don’t feel like taking off your makeup and washing your face even though you know you should). It’s a oil-based creme that melts into the skin to remove makeup or any impurities. This skin care creme is a necessity.
