Ten years after their first collaboration, Alexander Wang and Uniqlo are back with an innovative line of under garments. The Alexander Wang x Uniqlo collection, which dropped on November 9th, is made with Heattech technology to keep shoppers warm without compromising style. The lightweight collection features an assortment of basics like bras, underwear, turtlenecks, leggings and bodysuits. The best part about the collection? – It is all under $50.
Wang previously collaborated with Uniqlo in 2008 on a line of ready-to-wear, but has since become a fashion phenomenon. As his brand grows, it is comforting to see such a large name in fashion understanding that sometimes less is more. While staying true to the dependable reputation of Uniqlo, the collection incorporates Wang’s effortlessly cool aesthetic and features pieces in white, black, grey and neon green. Wang encourages shoppers to wear the items outside the realm of underwear – he tells Vogue: “The thing that I love about these pieces is that they can be worn on so many different occasions. Wear the bra top with a high-waisted jean and a jacket.” These essentials can be equally as stylish as they are functional.
The collection launch party which featured the clothing in an artic extravaganza had everything from frosted telephone booths to an entire wall of ice blocks where party attendees could carve their names. The full collection became available for purchase online on November 8th and in store November 9th. Stay warm with Wang this winter and view the collection here.
