~Sleigh~ the Last Boulevard in Style and Comfort

By: Chase Piper

Unfortunately for all Mustangs, the Boulevard season is coming to an end this weekend. Brunches, waking up earlier than we do for class, and dressing our best will no longer be a weekend tradition (until next year).

As we all know, cold weather is upon us, making our cheeks rosy and making us order new puffers online so we can bear the walks from class to class. Thankfully, this Boulevard will warm up a little from this past week and we will be able to still rock the last Boulevard in style.

I have put together four different types of looks that can be arranged to your own style, but that will be sure to turn heads on the lawn. These looks will ensure that you’ll be able to stay warm and cozy through all the dancing and while cheering on our Mustangs.

Style your favorite pair of denim jeans with a knit sweater, this way you’ll be warm (and look fab) while not breaking a single sweat.

Similar to above, wear your favorite pair of denim jeans and your best boulevard booties. Add a light puffer on top so that you’re warm and cozy. Mix n’ match the pattern of the boots and jacket so you have more dimension to your outfit. (Don’t forget to throw in some red, white or blue!)

Look 3

My favorite look; pair black jeans or leather pants with black booties to give the illusion of slimmer legs. Pair the ensemble with a simple white or black t-shirt and get a coat that will stand out! This one is perfect because it is SMU colored.

Look 4

Negin Mirsalehi

If you’re like me, you like to stay comfortable on the boulevard and even if everyone’s in heels and booties, it’s okay to throw on your favorite pair of sneakers. I love this look because while its casual, it’s still chic and won’t go unnoticed. Grab a pair of joggers, a cozy T-shirt and a fur blazer over it. (Don’t forget the sneaks).

Regardless of what you decide to wear, make sure to make this Boulevard count! It’s the last one for a while so visit all the tents and show off your own style.
