The cool weather has finally started to roll into Dallas and I could not be more excited. There is something about the fall season that always makes me want to update my wardrobe, so I thought I would share what I am adding to my closet this fall. This year I am leaning towards a more formal style that emphasizes texture and neutral tones.
Tops:
In Texas, the weather can heat up mid-day but this sleeveless turtle neck provides the perfect compromise. You can also style it with a blazer to add some flair.
Banana Rebuplic Riley Tailored-Fit Shirt
Button downs were a popular cover-up at the beach this summer and they are sticking around. They are a classic that goes with any and everything.
Another reoccurring trend from past seasons is the sweater vest. This chunky knit provides some variety that still matches the fall vibes.
Pants:
Aritzia Wilfred Effortless Pant
Jeans are usually my go-to, but these Wilfred trousers have been everywhere. I think they are a great addition to add variety and class to your look.
Jackets:
An oversized blazer is a great addition to any neutral outfit. This pattern adds some detail, but the oversized silhouette gives it a more playful touch.
Thread & Supply Sonoran Jacket
This corduroy jacket has been everywhere. It is lightweight and versatile so everyone can incorporate it into their wardrobe.
Nordstrom Good Measure Faux Leather Shirt Jacket
I am obsessed with leather jackets. My personal favorite is my mom’s from the 90s and I think this BB Dakota By Steve Madden is a close match. A leather jacket is easy to throw over jeans or a dress, so it is worth the investment.
Dresses:
Aritzia Wilfred Free Cut-Out Knit Dress
I love dresses. I think they are easy to throw on and dress up or down. This sweater material will keep you warm and the cutout adds to the dress.
Leather is just such a classic material that makes me think of fall. This ASTR The Label dress is perfect for dinner with friends.
I can’t wait to start incorporating all these new things into my style. Happy fall y’all!
