What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. The ever-so-true saying epitomizes the annual SMU Senior Fall break trip. Currently, hundreds of seniors are beginning to pack their suitcases and head on over to Sin City. The two days off in October gives us seniors a chance to escape Dallas, and hit the strip in our most glamorous cocktail dresses and high heels. Whether drinking a piña colada in the pool at Wet Republic or dancing to Loud Luxury at Omnia Nightclub, SMU Look has got you covered with some Vegas staples!
Most Vegas clubs, whether day or night, have pretty strict dress codes so beware when deciding what to pack. Typically, day clubs don’t allow athleisure or backpacks, and nightclubs require upscale fashionable attire. Knowing these rules, let’s begin:
LBD
Duh, you’re going to need a little black dress for when you’re dancing on the table. I recommend going for something sexy. Hey, you’re in Vegas after all!
High Heels
Ditch your everyday Air Force 1s or black booties for some high heels. Your feet might hate you, but you will feel so stylish breaking in a fabulous pair of heels. Luckily, kitten heels are having a moment so your feet don’t have to suffer.
Statement earrings
Nothing says “Vegas” like some sparkly, statement earrings. Pair these with any dress to complete your ensemble.
Bathing Suits
If your days are going to consist of chilling in a cabana or partying at the pool, you’re going to need a good swimsuit.
Cover ups
And, of course, you’re going to need something to cover-up that sexy swimmy.
Also, don’t forget to have fun and stay safe!
