As a lover of philanthropy, I wanted to highlight Jill this month because October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. While a woman in business always inspires me, Jill, has shown just how much she cares about the Dallas community. Jill, and the Lushra team, have partnered with the Genesis Women’s Shelter of Dallas this month to raise money. I learned from this partnership that 1 in 3 Texan women will face domestic violence in their lifetime. The Genesis Shelter stands to provide a safe place for these women to turn to in a time of need. Most women who get abused lie within the 18-24 age range. If you think about it, those women are just like us. Through this partnership, Lushra is donating 10% of all sales to this special cause – with a goal of $10,000!
