SW: Describe your style in 3 words.
EH: “Edgy. Unapologetic. Provocative.”
SW: What are your favorite place to shop?
EH: “My favorite places to shop are Aritzia for my minimalist basics and ssense for my more unique looks. I love that they sell a lot of lesser known brands.”
SW: If you could raid one person’s closet, who would it be?
EH: “If I could raid one person’s closet, it would have to be Rihanna.”
SW: Where do you draw inspiration from?
EH: “I draw my style inspiration from many places. I often find myself looking for style inspiration from movies and pop culture events.
One of my recent muses was Sharon Stone and her Casino wardrobe. I recently wore a gorgeous Bronx and Banco feather – cuff sequin mini dress. I felt like this fun, retro dress really emulated the Casino vibe, with its themes of greed and excess.
Another person that inspired my fashion growing up, and still to this day, is Lady Gaga. From the controversial meat dress to her wearing archival Alexander Mcqueen to the 2009 VMAs, I have always been in awe of her style. The way that Lady Gaga and her inimitable fashion choices rile up society, with her thought-provoking, often ambiguous fashion statements is something I like to project in my own style. I also admire her fearless fashion sense. She has never been afraid to push boundaries through fashion.
Another place where I draw inspiration from is Thierry Mugler’s work from the 80s and 90s. I am forever inspired by Mugler’s innovative and glamorous, yet edgy and even strange looks produced during this time.”
SW: If you could only wear one piece for the rest of your life, what would it be?
EH: “If I could only wear one piece of the rest of my life it would have to be my R13 Elvis mugshot sweater. It is quite literally the coziest thing I own and who wouldn’t want to be wrapped up with the bad boy King of Rock.”
SW: Trend you wish would go away forever?
EH: “A trend that I wish would go away forever is dressing for others.”
SW: What are your beauty essentials?
EH: “My beauty essentials are Santal 33 by Le Labo, Supergoop glow screen and confidence.”
SW: What are your go-to spots in Dallas?
EH: “Musume for a fun dinner, SoulCycle for a killer workout and La La Land Kind Café for a matcha latte.”
SW: What is your favorite look you’ve ever worn?
EH: “The Casino vibes Bronx and Banco dress I mentioned earlier.”
