Cashmere Makes a Statement in More Ways Than One

While graphic tees have been on-trend for the last few years, there is a new way to wear your words. Lingua Franca’s colorful cashmere sweaters with phrases whimsically stitched across the chest seem to be 2018’s version of the graphic tee.

These sweaters have taken Hollywood by storm ever since Connie Britton sported her own on the Golden Globes red carpet. Many of the sweaters have messages that are political by nature, allowing for people to express their views in a clear but fashionable way. Britton’s top stated “poverty is sexist” and was black in support of the Time’s Up movement. Meryl Steep, Tom Hanks, Ellen DeGeneres, Reese Witherspoon and more have since been spotted sporting their own “Time’s Up” sweaters. Other popular sweaters say things like “Oprah for Pres”, “The Future is Female” and “All the Feels”. But, if declaring your political views on the front of your shirt is not quite your thing, the brand also takes custom orders so you can choose your own message.

Plus, there is another important reason to love this cool brand. Although the sweaters go for a pricey $380, Lingua Franca donates $100 of every purchase back to charitable organizations. So, next time you want to treat yourself to a nice new sweater, think about choosing the one that not only looks great in your wardrobe, but helps other people in return.
